Ms. Horta is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey. In addition, she is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Bergen County Bar Association, and Women Lawyers in Bergen County.
Since joining the Bergen County Bar Association in 2015, she has been significantly involved in the Young Lawyers Section. In 2019, Ms. Horta was honored to become the President of the Young Lawyer’s Section of the Bergen County Bar Association having already served out her term as President-Elect (2018), Vice President (2017), and Secretary (2016).
Sarah decided to become a divorce and family law attorney when she was still in High School. She has been working towards the goal of becoming an experienced family law attorney for many years. Ms. Horta’s goals as an attorney is to handle the client’s matter as efficiently and expeditiously as possible, always keeping cost-effectiveness in mind. At all times the concepts of empathy, kindness, and compassion are apparent in her manner of practice. Ending a marriage is a life-changing event that should be handled respectfully and in a collaborative manner.
